BY ANDREW CATHERWOOD
As the 2013 festival season warms up Spinnin Records looks on with delight as their recent release Animals has been wowing festival goers with sheer brilliance and innovation.
The success (Beatport general #1) of Animals is the result of prodigious 16 year old Dutch producer Martin Garrix, a well planned and expertly articulated marketing approach and the growing desire within the electronic music scene for a fresh approach to the music. While many releases are hyped through the standard direct label to community approach, Spinnin saw the opportunity to take a different more word of mouth approach letting the quality of the music build it’s own aura of interest.
